This manga, Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru, is written and illustrated by a manga artist, Yamamoto Souichirou sensei who is the author of my favorite romantic comedy manga, Teasing Master Takagi-san (Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san). This is his latest manga!

What kind of story “Teasing Master Takagi-san (Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san)” is?

OK! I will explain it as simply as possible!

It is a story about a girl (Takagi-san) who is good at teasing, and a boy, Nishitani-kun, who wants to play a trick on her as his small revenge. (It is nothing violent. Nishitani-kun’s payback is always a little mischief!) But Takagi-san always know what Nishitani-kun is thinking and finds out his trick. That is the fun part!

There is nothing flashy. No magic. No battle. Nothing intense or serious development happens. It is very laid-back manga. If you want to relax or need a little laugh, this manga is the one you should read! Takagi-san and Nishitani-kun are really good kids. I really like them.

Yup! So, I also really like Soredemo Ayumu wa Yosetekuru because it is the same type of romantic comedy and they are similar in some aspects.

That is why, their wants to play a game!

The main characters of the story are two high school students. One is a high school freshman and beginner shogi player, Tanaka Ayumu-kun.

The other one is a high school junior and an advanced shogi player, Yaotome Urushi-chan!

So cute!

Ayumu-kun is falling love with Urushi-chan. However, he made a commitment that he would not confess his feeling to Urushi-chan until he first beats her in shogi. Urushi-chan is very strong shogi player, and she will not lose intentionally. So the relationship between them won’t make any progress.

It is a little annoying!

By the way, Urushi-chan knows that Ayumu-kun really likes her. But Ayumu-kun pretends to be cool like a cucumber, so Urushi-chan tries to let him say something more!!

How come Urushi-chan does not say that she also likes him?

Well...... girls wants to be said that he likes her! Ayumu-kun is always being treated as if she does not care because Urushi-chan wants to see or be said something more from him.

This manga is a romantic comedy but also a shogi manga! So they are often playing shogi in the story.

Ayumu-kun is very straight forward and honest. So his way of playing game is just like himself. On the other hand, Urushi-chan, is an advanced shogi player. So she notices Ayumu-kun’s strategy quickly. He is always attacked by her when he think he might be able to win.

She is invincible, master shogi player, but in the romantic situation......hmm...... so cute!!

I do not know much of shogi, but do you think I can enjoy the anime?

Oh, don’t worry about it! The main story is about these two. You will understand the story without knowing much of Shogi world.

Awwww...... I can’t wait until July 2022!!! I will read the whole set of manga because I can’t wait!
