【Mob Psycho 100】Comedy x Supernatural More than 1.2 million copies in circulation!! Winner of 62nd Shogakukan Manga Award in Shounen category!!

Mob Psycho 100 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by ONE.

The manga started serialization on Shogakukan's website from April 2012 to December 2017. Shogakukan compiled its chapters into 16 Separate volumes.

The series has over 1.2 million copies in circulation, worldwide. In 2017, the manga won the 62nd Shogakukan Manga Award in the Shounen category. Two anime seasons have been adapted, with a third season being confirmed.

The manga begins with Arataka Reigen, a self-proclaimed psychic, accepting an exorcism case from her client, Hanako.

Arataka guides Hanako through his different exorcism courses, all varying in price. Hanako is convinced about the professionalism of Arataka, but her lover, Tarou appears and calls Arataka, Fishy. Tarou calls him shady, which he completely denies.

Arataka claims that, once the spirit is exorcised, Hanako’s face will return to normal. Tarou snaps at him by saying that there is nothing wrong with Hanako’s face.

Hanako takes Arataka to the building where the ghost is supposed to be, but does not point at the building she is referring to. Arataka claims that he senses an evil aura from a nearby building, but it isn’t the building Hanako was referring to. He quickly recovers by indicating at a man and saying that he is an evil spirit, “The Cleft Chinned Monster”.

Hanako then explains that a man once died in this building by hitting his head on the ceiling, when he jumped because he saw a cockroach. Arataka gets frightened, as he is afraid of cockroaches.

That is when the spirit, Ceiling Crasher, appears.

Arataka attacks the spirit with his signature move “Salt Splash”, but the spirit just shakes it off, claiming that normal salt doesn’t affect him.

Seeing this, Arataka calls his Secret weapon, Mob, the protagonist of this story. Mob being a real esper, exorcises the spirit with ease.

Mob reminds Arataka, not to call him on short notice and also questions his psychic abilities. Arataka claims that he could have easily taken down such a weak ghost, but he wants Mob to learn a few things from him and get strong enough to fully Control his powers. We then see Mobs explosion meter at 22%.
