What’s the story?

The story follows Haru Glory, who is a young boy on a quest to find the five pieces of the sacred stone, Rave. He intends to defeat the evil organization, Demon Card, and bring peace to the world using the power of the sacred stone Rave.
On Garage Island, we first observe Haru, a young boy who happens to be fishing. He catches a strange white creature with a long nose and wonders if he can eat it. He hands it over to his sister, Cattleya, who is caring for their mother's grave. His sister points out that the creature is too cute to be a fish and must be a dog because it has four legs. Haru and Cattleya take the creature to their home, where an unusual sun-shaped creature, Nakajima, inquires about the creature Haru fished out.
Nakajima tells them that he has never seen such a creature, which is ironic coming from him. While Haru is sleeping, the small creature appears in his room and points to a lollipop. The puppy eats the candy and shares it with Haru, which makes him like the puppy. Haru then takes him on a stroll through town.
Haru shows off the puppy to Gemma, a store owner and a friend of his. Gemma busts out laughing as Haru informs him that he named the puppy Shabutaro.
Gemma then brings up his mother's death, and whether or not he has heard from his father, Gale, in all this time. Haru claims that he does not require his father's assistance and that he is capable of caring for himself and his sister on his own , which is why he has been training for all this time.
As Haru is leaving the shop, an old man with a long beard enters and hugs Gemma, mistaking him for his late father, Botohn. The old guy tells Haru about how he used to live on the island and if anyone still remembers him. Haru offers the old man some company, which makes him happy. As they exit the shop, Haru realizes that Shabutaro was no where to be found.
As Haru puts down some candy to attract shabutaro, an intimidating man shows up looking for the old man. He steps on the candy while approaching the old man and punches him. Haru retaliates and punches the guy back, which sends him flying. Seizing this opportunity, Haru and the old man escape to a safe place. The elderly man introduces himself as Shiba.
Shabutaro shows up out of nowhere and Shiba is petrified upon seeing him. He calls him Plue instead and tells Haru about how he has been searching for Plue for nearly 50 years. Shiba asks Haru to hand over Plue as he has some unfinished business with him. Haru refuses and asks him why he wants Shabutaro.
Shiba informs Haru about the war that occurred 50 years ago, as well as the “Dark Bring” and “Stone Rave,” which had the power of darkness and light, respectively. Plue had the Rave inside him and fought alongside Shiba to destroy the Dark Bring.
Just as the war ended, the last of the Dark Bring exploded, killing Plue as he protected Shiba. Or so he thought. The Rave alongside Plue scattered in 5 separate directions.
Plue is Rave's Bearer, according to Shiba, and he is required to locate all of the pieces. Haru agrees to assist him and refers to Shiba as a friend, which warms Shiba's heart. The scary man from earlier, who is from the Demon Card Organization, appears in the middle of their emotional moment, with the purpose of defeating Shiba and seizing the Rave.
Shiba prepares to fight, but for some reason is unable to unleash Rave's power, so the opponent attacks him with his weapon, blowing a hole in Shiba. Dropped to the ground, shiba tells Haru to flee, but Haru is adamant about fighting and assisting his friend. Haru disarms the attacker in the blink of an eye and deflects all of his assaults. He thrashes the man and finishes him off with a punch, which upon contact with the attacker, explodes, shocking Haru. Shiba understands why he couldn't utilise Rave’s power, because Haru was the new heir to Rave.
Shiba explains that only a single person can use Rave’s power at any time, and he was that person for 50 years, but now he has been replaced by him.
What does it mean for Haru to be the next heir to Rave?
