Usagi, the Sailor Moon!

The story of Sailor Moon started with a shocking news in the morning newspaper. A mysterious figure named Sailor V was the hero that caught a culprit of a daring theft from the night before.
Ikuko Tsukino was reading the newspaper and called her daughter, who she remarked that was not like the heroic girl named Sailor V at all. The daughter, also the main protagonist Usagi Tsukino, was a 14 year-old middle school student and she was about to be late for school. She described herself as a clumsy and crybaby.
On the way to school, Usagi accidently stepped on a cat and profusely apologized, but the cat scratched her face. Noticing that there were band-aids on the cat's forehead, Usagi tried to peel it off and discovered a mark resembling a crescent moon.
Usagi then hurried to school, but was made to stand out in the hall as punishment for being late. Her homeroom teacher later came out into the hall and yelled at Usagi for her bad test score, which was only 30/100.
At lunchtime, one of Usagi’s classmates mentioned another break-in incident at a jewelry store and the burglar was caught by Sailor V. They all thought that Sailor V was a champion of justice in a sailor suit, and was rumored to be a special detective from the police headquarters. Usagi’s best friend Naru Osaka then said that her mother owned a jewelry store and invited her friends over. They were having a large discount sale that day.
After school, Usagi, Naru and other girls from their class head over to the jewelry store that Naru's mother owned. Seeing her mother excitedly promoting the store, Naru found it odd since she was never like that before.
While her friends was fawning over the pretty necklaces and rings, Usagi was upset because she didn’t have enough money to buy anything. Usagi crumbled the test paper and threw it behind as she was about to leave. The paper landed right in the face of a strange man wearing a tuxedo and a mask. The man made fun of Usagi’s hair buns and told her to study harder. After she has left, the man smiled and said to himself that at this jewelry store, he might find the Silver Crystal.
Not wanting to go home, Usagi went to a local game arcade. There, she found the cat that she has met earlier that morning. A staff at the arcade told Usagi that the cat has been wandering around there for a few days.
Usagi laughed and pointed out that the cat had a crescent-shaped bald spot on its forehead. The cat angrily growled at her and Usagi decided to go home. When Usagi arrived home, her mom asked to see the test and got upset at her daughter low score. She even kicked Usagi out the front door when Usagi’s brother Shingo Tsukino was just back from school.
Outside, Usagi cried loudly and Shingo had no choice but to remind their mother that if she let Usagi stay out there, she would bother the neighbors. Ikuko reluctantly let her daughter back inside.
Meanwhile, the girls and women that have brought jewelry from the store of Naru’s mother suddenly felt like their energy were drained. Naru’s mother smiled creepily and said to herself that her scheme of using jewelry to steal energy proved to be a success. However, the “real thing” that she was looking was not in the store.
Right then, Naru heard everything that her mother just said and entered the room. Naru’s mother turned back to look at her with a face as frightening as a witch.
Usagi returned to her room and decided to take a nap after a moment of crying when she was allowed back inside. While Usagi was sleeping, she felt that her face was being scratched and she woke up, yelling in pain.
The cat from earlier appeared in front of her again and suddenly talked. The cat said that its crescent moon mark was not a bald spot and introduced itself as Luna. Luna told Usagi that it has been searching for her and gave Usagi a Transformation Brooch. Usagi has thus been chosen to be a Guardian.
Usagi was shocked at the shining brooch and Luna told Usagi to shout the command “Moon Prism Power, Make Up”. Upon shouting that, Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon.
Naru is in grave danger but will Usagi and Luna make it in time to save her? Read on as Usagi goes on her first mission as Sailor Moon!
