The fated battle that shaped history......

Fifty years prior to the present day, a man named Shiba just emerged victory from his battle.
But as he let down his guard, the remains of his enemy turned into a giant explosion that would later be known in history as “Overdrive”.
In the present, at a peaceful island called Garage, a young boy named Haru was fishing for his family dinner. When the pole was tucked by something heavy, Haru was excited to reel in his catch of the day, only to find some strange creature on his hook.
Haru ran straight to his sister Cattleya, to show her the peculiar creature he had caught. Unlike Haru, Cattleya only found the creature to be extremely cute and referred to it as a “dog”.
When the two returned home, they were greeted by a curious being named Nakajima – their house keeper. Even Nakajima found the creature that Haru caught to be weird.
The creature seemed to have taken a liking to Haru as it followed him into his room. Haru eventually warmed up to the creature as he shared his sweet with it. He then named the strange dog “Shabutaro” and considered it as his friend.
Haru took Shabutaro out for a walk to the nearby town and introduced it to an old family friend named Gemma, who ran a local café shop. Seeing Shabutaro and hearing his name from Haru made Gemma laugh hysterically.
When Gemma had calmed down, he chatted with Haru about his late mother – Sakura, who had passed away ten years ago. However, when Gemma mentioned Haru’s dad, who had disappeared 15 years ago, Haru grew agitated. Haru stated that he didn’t need his father and he had been training every day to protect his sister.
Once the conversation was over, Haru turned to leave the café. As he was on his way out, an old man entered the café. The old man greeted Gemma like an old friend, but he kept calling Gemma by his deceased father’s name. The two then found out that the old man had once lived on Garage Island, and had just come home from a long journey. All of his acquaintances and friends had passed away during his journey and now he had nowhere to return to on his home island.
Haru offered the old man his company. When the two left the café, they discovered that Shabutaro had gone missing. Haru tried to lure Shabutaro back by the candy it had taken a liking to.
Moments later, they saw another stranger, Feber, from outside of town. Feber ignored Haru, stepped on his candy, and confronted the old man.
Haru demanded compensation from Feber, which angered him. Feber kicked Haru in the face and attacked the old man when he was tending to Haru.
Enraged by Feber’s action, Haru rushed in and punched Feber across the face. While Feber was knocked out, Haru and the old man escaped to the nearby forest.
In the forest, the old man took off his disguise, revealing a slightly younger version of himself and introduced himself as Shiba. The bush behind them rustled and Shabutaro stepped out to greet them.
Seeing Shabutaro, Shiba couldn’t hide his surprise. He called out the name of his old comrade – “Plue”. Shiba then explained he had been in search of Plue for 50 years. He asked Haru to give Plue back as he had some unfinished business to take care of and he needed Plue’s help.

The battle between Light and Darkness

Shiba told Haru about the war that happened 50 years ago. Shiba and Plue was battling against a demon stone called “Dark Bring”. Dark Bring possessed the power of darkness and threatened to destroy all of mankind. The only thing that could oppose its power was the sacred stone Rave, which possessed the power of light.
Shiba used the power of Rave and Plue to defeat the demon stone Dark Bring......
......but just when he thought the war was over, Dark Bring exploded, causing one tenth of the world to be destroyed. During the explosion, Dark Bring escaped.
When Shiba came back to his sense, he saw Plue defended him from the epicenter of the explosion. When Shiba held Plue’s lifeless body, the Rave stones on Plue’s neck started to shine. Plue and the Rave stones floated into the sky and disappeared right before Shiba’s eye.
Coming back to the present, Shiba told Haru that the Dark Bring had awaken again. This was the reason why he needed Plue’s power once more to find all the missing pieces of Rave and battle the Dark Bring.
At that moment, Feber found the two of them talking in the forest. Shiba explained to Haru that Feber was a member of Demon Card – an organization that possessed Dark Bring.
Feber took out his weapon, a giant hand cannon. He and Shiba engaged in combat. However, when Shiba charged in and tried to draw the power of Rave, he failed to do so and got shot by Feber.
Fallen on the ground, Shiba tried to hand over the Rave stone to Haru, telling him to run away and protect it. Enraged by the injury of his friend, he ignored Shiba’s advice and rushed at Feber.
With incredible speed, Haru took Feber by surprise and threw him onto the ground, taking his hand cannon in the process. Haru continued to pummel Feber with his super-human strength. Finally, Haru finished Feber off with a powerful punch that resulted in a small explosion.
Shiba finally realized that the reason he couldn’t use the power of Rave was because it had chosen a new master. Since the beginning of time, Rave accepted and lent its power to only one master.
Fifty years ago, that person was Shiba and now, a new heir to Rave had appeared. That person was none other than Haru.
