What’s the story?

“Beneath the few triple A games......an enormous pile of half-finished, rushed, clumsy games with graphics and systems which are far behind the times keep getting released. These are what people generally call “Trash Games”. There are some weirdos who gladly collect these trash games which are otherwise universally hated. Hidzutome Rakurou, High-School, second year. He is none other than one of those “Trash Gamers”.
The story begins with Hidzutome completing another “Trash Game” by the name of “Faeria Chronicle Online”. He seems really hyped and decides to start another trash game.
Meanwhile at the Game Store, a young women by the name of Rei-chan enters and asks whether Hidzutome has stopped by recently. She gets extremely flustered when Mana-San, the shop owner, teases her about liking Hidzutome.
As they continue conversing, Hidzutome enters all hyped, asking for a new trash game. Mana-San suggests to Hidzutome to try a Triple A tier game for a change. She shows him the most popular VR-game ever to be released, Shangri-La Frontier.
Hidzutome takes her on her offer and decides to buy the “God Tier” game.
He heads home and immediately boots up the game. An interface comes up, asking for the username and character customization. He enters his usual player name, Sunraku, and as for the character customization, he goes for the dual-wielded mercenary and gives him a ‘staring bird mask’.
The game begins and instead of a starter town, he lands in the middle of a thick forest.
Right off the bat, a green goblin wielding a stone axe launches an assault on him, which he manages to dodge at the last second. He summons him dual blades and counters with an attack, slaying it in one blow.
The goblin vanishes and the hand axe appears as a drop item. He also moves up a level.
Meanwhile, in the town of beginnings: Firstia, a knight dressed in high-level armor is seen roaming around, looking for Sunraku.
Back in the forest, Sunraku is in pursuit of a high level monster, Vorpal Bunny. This creature is much faster and fights with high level blades. After a fierce battle with the Vorpal Bunny, Sunraku finally manages to slay it, obtaining its sharp blade.
He checks the map and decides to skip Firstia and go straight to the second town. But this isn’t as simple as it sounds because, in order to get to town, he must cross a bridge, which is guarded by the Area Boss: The Great Devouring Snake.
The fierce battle begins, and the Area Boss charges at him with a barrage of killing blows, but Sunraku keeps dodging with his evasive skill, Tap Step. He launches an attack, but his normal blades are no match for the beast’s armored skin. His blades snap like twigs.
The Great Beast swings his massive tail with bone-crushing force, but Sunraku has learned to keep his guard up over the years of experience playing trash games and manages to dodge the tail, only to be caught off guard by the tail’s poison spit.
The poison kicks in and Sunraku starts taking damage every ten seconds.
At this point, anyone else would have blindly tried to attack the Great Snake, but not Sunraku.
“You think I’m gonna back down...... only because you shit on my face”, yells Sunraku, as he takes a stance for his next assault.
Will Sunraku be able to slay the Great Devouring Snake before the poison drains his HP? What awaits him in this so called “God Game”?
