【Black Clover】Adventure x Fantasy 16 million copies in circulation!!

Black Clover is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuki Tabata.

The series has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump magazine since February 2015, with its chapters collected in 30 separate volumes. The manga series has over 16 million copies in circulation.

A television series adaptation produced by Pierrot, aired in Japan from October 2017 to March 2021. An anime film has been announced.

The series focuses on Asta, a young orphan who is left to be raised in an orphanage alongside his fellow orphan, Yuno.

Fifteen years later, Asta grows up to be a loudmouthed, kind hearted and a hyper active person. He tends to shout to express his thoughts and goals, much to the annoyance of some of those around him, and often in spite of other people's opinions.

Asta keeps asking sister Lily to marry him and she keeps turning him down, Sometimes even punching him with her water magic.

Everyone at the orphanage keeps telling asta to knock it of but Asta is too hot headed to listen to anyone.

Asta starts arguing with Yuno and tries to fight him but is unable to use even a slight amount of magic.

Asta gets frustrated and leaves to go train in the woods.

The reason that Asta and Yuno argue all the time is because they once promised each other to become the wizard king.

A few days later, a Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony is held in a tower near Hage village.

Everyone gets a Grimoire except Asta.

Amidst the crowd, a four leaf grimoire lands in front of a kid, that kid is Yuno.

Later that evening, while he hangs on a tree branch, Asta sees that Yuno is being attacked by a bandit and quickly runs to save him.

But due to Asta’s lack of magic power, he is easily bested by the bandit who holds a grimoire.

Thinking that he can’t save anybody without magic, Asta is about to give up.

But then Yuno makes Asta remember their promise and calls him his rival.

This triggers the activation of a black grimoire, which lands before asta.

The grimoire opens and a black sword emerges.

Asta holds the black sword and is able to cancel the bandit’s magic with a single slash.

Asta runs toward the bandit and sends him flying with the swing of his blade, ending the battle.

Asta is really happy that Yuno still remembers their promise and Considers him a rival.

The next day, they both head towards the capital to join the magic knights squad.
