【Dorohedoro】Action x Dark Fantasy An Action packed series sure to be loved by the fans of Dark fantasy and Science Fiction genre!!

Dorohedoro is a Japanese Dark Fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Q Hayashida.

The series was serialized in Shogakukan’s Seinen magazine Monthly Ikki from November 2000 to September 2014. The chapter’s are compiled and collected into 23 separate volumes. It was also nominated for the 5th Crunchyroll Anime Award 2021. Both manga and the anime were very well received.

An anime television series adapted by MAPPA was released in 2020, consisting of 12 episodes. A second season is yet to be announced, but is highly awaited by fans.

The story begins with Kaiman, a human with the face of a reptile, biting down on Matsumura’s head. Matsumura’s partner, Fujita, tells Kaiman to release him but Nikaido, Kaiman’s friend, stops him, kneeing him in the guts.

Inside Kaiman’s mouth, Matsumura sees a man who after seeing his face tells him that “You’re not the one”. Kaiman spits him out and asks him what the man in his mouth said.

Fujita uses some kind of Magic on him but it seems like Kaiman is resistant to magic.

After finding out that Matsumura is not the one who turned him into a reptile, Kaiman takes out his blades and cuts his body into pieces.

Meanwhile, Fujita manages to escape by using a magic door leading to the dimension of magic users.

As Kaiman and Nikaido head back to the ‘Hungry Bug’, they come across a passageway which Kaiman seems to remember from before he lost his memories and became a reptile. Kaiman remembers to have seen a man standing across the hall, but his face is all black in his mind.

Nikaido tells him that he’ll feel better after eating something, and they both head back.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the magic door, Fujita attends Matsumura’s funeral, apologizing to him for not being able to save him.

He heads over to meet En-San, who tells Fujita not to go after Kaiman seeking revenge.

Back at the Hungry Bug, Nikaido brings food for Kaiman, who promises to find Fujita and tear his skin apart.

Will Kaiman be able to get his body and memories back?
