【Nisekoi】Harem x Romantic Comedy More than 13 million copies in circulation!!

Nisekoi is a Japanese romantic comedy manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Komi.

Nisekoi started serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump from November 2011. As of October 2016, the series had been compiled in 25 separate volumes. The series has over 13 million copies in circulation, worldwide.

In May 2013, an Anime series adaptation was announced. The anime aired from January 11 to May 24, 2014. A second season was also aired.

The story starts off with a young Raku Ichijou and a mysterious girl promising that, the next time they meet, they’ll get married. As a symbol of this promise, the young girl gives Raku a lock and holds on to the key.

Ten years later, Raku is cooking breakfast for his family, but the only difference is that he is the son of a yakuza boss.

Everyone adores Raku and come to drop him off in a limo, intimidating the other students. As he enters the school, a girl jumps across the school wall and lands on Raku, kneeing him. She quickly says sorry, and runs along.

Raku comes to the class with a bleeding nose, Onodera, Raku’s friend, sees this and patches him up with band aid. Raku looks happy that he got injured, as it got Onodera to come close to him.

The class teacher enters the room and introduces a transfer student, Kirisaki Chitoge, Raku and Chitoge see each other and snap, as she was the one who injured him. They start arguing and Chitoge ends up punching him.

The teacher sees them argue, and decides to make Chitoge sit next to Raku and even makes them the School Farm Caretakers.

Raku notices that his locket is missing and asks Chitoge to help him find it, as it was her fault that he lost it in the first place. Chitoge completely denies this, but still helps him look for the locket for days.

After a few days of not finding the locket, Chitoge gets fed up and tells Raku to forget about the stupid locket. This enrages Raku, and he ends up yelling at Chitoge.

Chitoge feels bad about it, she then finds the locket on her own and gives it back to Raku.

We then see Onodera, holding the key to Raku’s locket.

Is Onodera really the promised girl? Or is it someone else?
