Feedback of Episode 17 of Anime Jujutsu Kaisen, by a Super Addicted Jujutsu Kaisen Otaku!

Let me share my feedback of the latest episode of Anime Jujutsu Kaisen this week too!!

Episode 17 was full of passionate battles by all the girls chara!!! I couldn’t watch it without crying……

Here’s my feedback of Episode 16, which aired last week!

All right then…… What was the best part about Episode 17??

Let me tell you this……

All the images in this episode were really gooooood!!!!!!!!!

From how the story was moved on, I knew since last week that this episode will cover Episode 40~41 in Volume 5 of the original comics…… To me, this girls’ battle part was my favorite scene, thinking ‘this part has to be the climax of Kyoto Goodwill Event Arc!’ so I was super satisfied that I was able to see such beautiful images in anime……!

The first girl who appeared was Miwa, who is in the 2nd year of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High. The last scene of Episode 16 was Miwa and Maki’s battle so that battle was continued to this week!

Maki overwhelms Miwa from how gorgeous she moves and the weapon is controlled by her. Miwa looks shocked to see how good Maki fights because it wasn’t what she had been expecting from what Mai, who is Maki’s twin sister and also Miwa’s classmate, has told her about Maki.

When Maki catches the sword that Miwa holds, the scene is switched to the room, where all the adults such as Gojo or Iori are watching students fighting.

Mei-mei, another Jujutsushi, who can control crows as well as see what the crows under her control are witnessing, even praises how Maki fights. Gojo seems to be agreeing with her but…… Maki’s family, Zenin Family, seems to be interfering Maki’s promotion.

Mei-mei is one of my Oshi chara (the one I recommend) but…… she is too beautiful and I even shouted when I saw her move and talk…… I was super happy……

Now, the scene is switched to the battle! Nishiyama, a 3rd-year-student from Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High and Kugisaki are now fighting in the forest.

Nishiyama, who can control wind by the sorcery technique, confesses to her how difficult being a female Jujutsushi is in life, facing many unreasonable things and Zenin Mai has been suffered from such unreasonable things, while driving Kugisaki into the corner.

Nishiyama goes: Perfection, both beauty and strength, is expected. Can you imagine how much Mai and Maki, who were born in the elite Jujutsushi family, suffered?

Kugisaki angrily says to her, ‘You’re a pain in the ass.’ And she goes, ‘You think misfortune is a free pass to do anything? I can’t stand Mai who was going to kill Itadori regardless of her upbringing, and I love Maki, who accepted Itadori, enduring the same upbringing.’

Kugisaki finally catches Nishiyama’s broom by cutting down all the trees so it can lower the altitude of Nishiyama, who is still flying in the air.

Kugisaki says if she hits Nishiyama with her hammer, she might kill Nishiyama, so she hits her with a squeaky hammer and when she tries to give her another blow……!

From just barely within effective range, Mai helps Nishiyama hit Kugisaki by the rubber bullet.

Mai orders Nishiyama on the phone to support the members of Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High from the air again…… But behind Mai, Maki, who is her twin older sister, shows up.

While Maki uses the sword that she has taken from Miwa, Mai uses a gun. Maki again overwhelms Mai through martial art.

And here, the fact, which Maki has an innate ability called Tenyo Jubaku, is revealed, just like Mecha-maru, who is a 2nd-year student from Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High.

Maki, as a member of the elite Jujutsushi family, Zennin Family, doesn’t have technique which any Zenin Family members would have. But in exchange for that, she was granted superhuman physical abilities.

Since she couldn’t use Zenin Family’s traditional Jujutsu, Maki and Mai were treated as the servants at home. However, the situation has changed after Maki left home and entered Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High. Mai couldn’t help but live as a Jujutsushi after that.

Mai cannot forget her old memory where Maki held her hand, saying ‘I won’t leave you behind. We’re sisters.’ Back then, as a little girl, Mai was so scared about the mysterious existence, the Curse. Mai has been one of the Jujutsushi, suffering from sorrow, where Maki actually left her behind even though she said she wouldn’t, or from the inferiority, where Mai is not as talented as Maki……

Mai says, ‘Why wouldn’t you stay at the bottom with me?’ Maki replies to her, ‘Because I would have hated myself if I did that, sorry.’ It was Maki’s unconditional love to her sister.

I just couldn’t help but cry so hard from this beautiful sisters’ love…… While Mai wanted to stay in parents’ house as long as she could stay with Maki, even though she didn’t like their home, Maki left home to like herself more. They never understand with each other but we definitely see their love between them……

Jujutsu Kaisen is an action Manga, where they defeat Curses that have been created by people’s various emotions. I love the part, where each character has his/her own emotion and they change as the story goes. And I love how they are beautifully depicted……… That’s why I can’t get rid of being Jujutsu Kaisen’s Otaku……

This is all for today!!! The girls battles were awesome, huh……? For the next week, the story will focus on the battle of Fushiguro vs Kamo!!! We’ll go back to boys’ battles!!! Can’t wait, huh??
