GRAND BLUE! Youth×Gag. 2020! Live-Action Movie Adaptation! Drink! Swim!! Diving!!

It’s a Japanese manga series written by Inoue Kenji-Sensei and illustrated by Yoshioka Kimitake-Sensei. It has been serialized in the magazine called “good! Afternoon” since 2014. An anime television series adaptation aired from 2018 and a live-action film adaptation was released in 2020.

As of May, 2020, over 5,550,000 copied have been issued all over the world.

The main protagonist, Iori, a college student, moves in the area close to the sea, to start his college life. He stays at his uncle’s house and goes to the college from there. When he first arrives at his uncle’s house, Iori finds out that his uncle owns the diving shop Grand Blue.

One day, when he is enjoying the view of the see, he sees a beautiful woman in the diving suit, coming from the sea.

Iori assumes that she is almost the same age as him.

He then feels excited with his heart beating fast, thinking that he might be able to see her again at college…… He can’t wait to have a new life ahead of him……

Meanwhile, a group of buff men are having an outrageous party in the diving shop Grand Blue.

Seeing that, Iori can’t believe his eyes and closes the door, thinking it might be a dream but…… he finds out that it’s a real party, where tons of naked men are partying (and it’s a daytime too). Iori doesn’t like the fact that the house he will be living in is where such naked men party like that. And Iori runs away from his uncle’s house…… But then all the naked men start to chase him!!!!!

And Iori gets caught even before he resists himself.

He finds out that all the naked men are the students from his college and the reason why they are all naked is because they are preparing for moving the cylinder, which is necessary for diving.

Iori still wonders why it’s necessary for them to be naked to do that, however, all the Senpai think it’s necessary to be very careful to prepare for diving. And then the Senpai try to solicit Iori to join the diving club from time to time, even though he hasn’t been able to make a decision.

He is surely interested in diving but the thing is…… Iori “cannot swim.”

He says to a Senpai, Ryujirou, that he will not join the club because he cannot swim, even though he is interested in that.

Hearing what Iori says, Ryujirou says, smiling;

Being encouraged by him, he finally decides to join the Diving Club.

His crazy new college life, where they accept his thought of wanting to do it, starts like this……!
