【Big Sis】Supporting a Newbie Adventurer Boy Safely and Securely! You Can’t Resist Her Slightly Mean Personality! The Hot Dungeon Rom-Com! Shiboritoranaide, Onna Shounin-san!

“Shiboritoranaide, Onna Shounin-san!!” is a fantasy comedy series serialized on the webcomic platform Comic Gamma Plus, written by Kutsugaeru. The story centers around Lavi, a novice adventurer, and Philo, a crooked merchant who constantly hangs around him. Set in the underground labyrinth “Tartaros,” the story depicts the bizarre and comedic everyday life of these two characters. As of October 2024, with 9 volumes published, the series has garnered attention for its unique characters and slapstick storylines.

The story follows Lavi, an adventurer challenging the mysterious, massive underground labyrinth “Tartaros.” However, his biggest problem isn’t the monsters, but rather the persistent Beastgirl merchant, Philo, who clings to him. She tries to sell him shady items every time, but in reality, she’s quite incompetent. Lavi is constantly being pushed around by Philo, getting caught up in unexpected trouble. Amidst the comedic interactions, Philo occasionally shows her sexy side, with unexpected happenings that bring laughter to the readers.

The biggest charm of this manga is Philo's “annoying but cute” (Uza-Kawa) personality. Philo constantly bothers Lavi, but her innocence and cuteness maintain a perfect balance. Although her pushy sales tactics and overbearing behavior toward Lavi can be a bit annoying, her clumsy, ditzy side prevents her from being unlikeable. Philo often teases Lavi, but when interacting with other characters, she surprisingly shows signs of social awkwardness, which further enhances her cuteness.

“Shiboritoranaide, Onna Shounin-san!!” is a slapstick comedy full of gags, but Philo's sexy moments add an extra layer of appeal. Scenes where Philo teases Lavi but ends up embarrassed herself, blushing and showing a cute side, are particularly charming and bring a smile to the readers. This perfect blend of subtle sexiness and humor is what makes this series special.

The setting of the story, including “Tartaros” and the town where Lavi and others live, is another element that fantasy fans will appreciate. The detailed depiction of the stone labyrinth, timber-framed townscape, and market stalls give the entire work a distinct fantasy atmosphere. The well-crafted world-building ensures a good balance between the comedy and fantasy elements.

“Shiboritoranaide, Onna Shounin-san!!” is a perfect gag fantasy featuring the dynamic interplay between a timid young adventurer and a clumsy Beastgirl merchant. With plenty of laughs, a dash of sexiness, and adorable characters, you're sure to get hooked on this story. Be sure to check it out!
