What’s the story?

The story begins with a young man, carrying a long sword and wearing tattered clothes, walk past a signpost. On it, there is a wanted poster for Demon Eyes Kyo's head, with a reward of one million ryo. The young man ignores it and continues on his route, passing by a beautiful woman who has collapsed on the road.
The girl claims she has asthma and needs assistance. The young man takes her to a hut and starts treating her with his medical kit. He introduces himself as Mibu.
Yuya Shiina, the girl Mibu is helping, takes out a gun and points it at his head, claiming to be a bounty hunter. She declares Mibu is the Demon Eyes Kyo and that she is going to capture him and claim his reward.
Mibu introduces himself as a chemist, and says that Yuya has the wrong person. She asks him about his long sword to which he jokingly replies that it can be used as a fishing pole. Mibu goes through Yuya’s bounty book and accidentally comes across a bounty of just 100 mon, of himself for not paying his bill.
Yuya ties him up and takes him away to claim the mere 100 mon reward. Upon reaching the village, they discover some dead bodies, as they are attacked by a group of villagers.
The villagers attack them mercilessly, and seeing no other choice, he starts to draw his sword. “He's coming!” he shouts, before collapsing. Upon regaining consciousness, Yuya explains that it was all a mistake, and the people attacking them were the local villagers. To make amends for attacking Mibu and Yuya, the village leader provides them with some food.
The chief explains how two brothers, one possessing tremendous speed and the other possessing tremendous strength, also known as the Bantoji Brothers, have been terrorizing the village and killing villagers. Yuya understands that the brothers are also wanted for a bounty, so she agrees to assist the villagers in exchange for a monetary prize.
As Yuya ties Mibu up to persuade him into helping her, several kids show up and throw a bucket at Mibu, mistaking him for a Bantoji Brothers buddy. Mibu obtains the trust of the children by providing medication to one of the injured boy and then playing with them.
Later that night, Mibu chooses to flee and comes across Yuya taking a bath. He stands there looking at her from every angle, measuring her curves. She notices him spying and ties him up to a water weel.
As they chat, Yuya reveals that the reason she is a bounty hunter is because she is in search of a man with a scar on his back. She agrees to let Mibu leave if he gives her his sword, which he refuses, claiming that he also has something he must do.
The next day, Yuya, Mibu, and the rest of the villagers prepare for the Bantoji Brother’s arrival, who have come to demand money. They had, on the other hand, arrived well-prepared and with their own gang. They take a child hostage, and Yuya provokes them in order to distract their rage towards her. They let the kid go and attack Yuya instead. She shoots Banji, but he catches the bullets with his bare teeth, as Toji sneaks behind her, using his superhuman speed, and knocks her down.
As they prepare to execute her, Mibu stands in the way, offering his money and chemicals as a substitute. However, the thugs assault him before moving on to Yuya. Mibu warns them that they will die if they continue as he draws his sword, slicing one of them in half. Yuya recognizes the strange feeling, as Mibu’s eyes turn red and he taunts everyone to come at him.
What will Mibu do now that “He” is here?
