Hello everybody, I’m Manga Republic’s Boss.
Now we’ll do the Vol.4 of【Learn Japanese】Series! But I’m really not sure if this series is helping everybody learn Japanese.

Oh yeah! So! What manga are we sharing today?

I’m thinking…… one of the things that might bother Japanese learners when they learn Japanese with manga is that it might be hard to read because each panel has too many lines!!
Well, as for Conan, it’s a detective manga so…… but again, there are too many lines in each panel, huh?
That’s why we’re sharing some of the four panel manga, which I recommend today since each panel has less lines, with clear structures and contexts!

It’s known as digital manga series, written and illustrated by Ookawa Bukubu, which started serialization on website since 2014. It’s a super gag manga with almost no main four structures; introduction, development, twist and conclusion. It starts and ends all of a sudden.
But when it comes to how surreal and powerful the story is and the punch line that doesn’t make sense, it’s second to none, among all the manga. This is just crazy, full of parodies, satires and current topics.
I don’t really know if you can acquire appropriate Japanese or not from this manga but I still want to recommend this since it’s crazily funny. I would recommend anime more than manga because it is more surreal and has full of chaos.

High school student Sakura Chiyo has a crush on schoolmate Nozaki Umetarou. She finally confesses her love to him!

「ずっとあなたのファンでした！あなたとずっと、一緒にいたい……！！」
“I’ve been your fan! I want to be with you more……!!”

Chiyo was too shy to say the word “like” or “love”. However, Umetarou accepted her confession saying “she wants to be with him more.”
What? That means we’re dating now……!? Chiyo thought but……she discovered that Umetarou was actually a renowned shōjo manga artist working under the woman’s pen name.

「じゃあ、これから俺の家に来て。ベタ塗り担当として働いて欲しい。」
“Okay, then come over to my house now. I want you to be my assistant for illustration.”

Like this, the story starts from their misunderstanding! It’s a story of a manga artist and an assistant!
It was made into anime several years ago too. Since this manga style is interesting and easy to read, it became so popular!
The content is mainly the love comedy at school so it’s very easy to read! I definitely recommend this!

This is a “Golden Mosaic” school life by laid-back and cute girls!
The main character, Oomiya Shinobu, had a homestay in England and made the best friend with an English girl, named Alice Cartelet.
They both tried to use Japanese and English which they were still learning and noticed that it was time for her to go back to Japan. They promised that they would see each other again and did a farewell. A few years later, Alice came to visit Shinobu, who then was a high school student, for home staying!
Alice, who came to love Japan, tries so hard learning Japanese culture, which is so cute! This was made into anime and a movie! This might be a good manga for those who are learning Japanese because you might sympathize Alice who’s been trying so hard……!

It was actually a four-panel manga series! This is one of the well-known laid-back peaceful everyday style manga!
The main character, Hoto Cocoa, is a high school student.
Her new place to live was happened to be a café, and her high school boarding house, where she sees a cute girl, Kafu Chino and a fluffy angora rabbit, Tippy.
Following the rules of her high school, where she volunteers at the house she stays, she starts working at the café, as Chino’s “older sister.” While being a high school student, she works at the café, eats sweets there…… It’s a cute story about her everyday life in a fantasy-like-town!

It was actually a four-panel manga series! Vol.2!
This is one of the best recommended manga about a cute and youth’s everyday life of high school girls, who belong to the light music club!
The light music club at a certain high school was at risk of being disbanded after all the members graduated from school.
Then the 1st grader of high school, Tainaka Ritsu, knowing that it would be disbanded, starts recruiting new members!
The members who joined the club were her childhood friend, Akiyama Mio, who have experienced performing instruments, Hirasawa Yui and Kotobuki Tsumugi, who have never experienced playing the instruments. Are they able to perform well after all……!?
The point here is that the original manga and the anime that has got a huge hit are a little different in content.
While they are having a laid-back and peaceful life in manga version, they focus more on youth and band activity in anime version. For those who have watched anime, I want you to read manga! For those who loved manga version, I want you to watch anime or a movie! I can recommend this to anybody!
By the way, the college-version hasn’t been made into anime yet but the manga version has been released! Do you know what happened after they graduated from high school……!?

Of course! Manga Time Kirara is an exclusive four-panel manga magazine. Honestly, I wanted to share ‘Kill Me Baby’ too but I’ll keep it for next time.
