Tsuredure Children is a four-panel Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Toshiya Wakabayashi.

The manga series was serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen magazine from August 2014 to March 2015, then was transferred to Weekly Shounen Magazine. It’s individual chapters are compiled and collected into 12 separate volumes. This manga was written in a 4-koma style. Both the manga and the anime were well received.

An anime television series was adapted by Studio Gokumi in 2017, consisting of 12 episodes.

The story begins with Haruhiko Takase being called out by a girl, whom he secretly has a crush on. Haruhiko is ecstatic, as he his hoping that the girl, Saki, is going to confess her feelings for him.

Ten minutes pass by, Saki is still standing still and hasn’t said a single word. Haruhiko tries to start the conversation, but before he can say anything, Saki blurts out, “T-Takase D...... do you have someone that you like? “.

Haruhiko does like her but is confused as to if he should confess to her, because he feels that he would be stealing the confession. While he is caught in his thoughts, Saki just assumes that he has a girlfriend, which Haruhiko immediately denies.

Hearing that Haruhiko doesn’t have a girlfriend, Saki seems relieved.

He asks her why she called to meet him, but she gets flustered and tries to avoid the question.

Now irritated, Haruhiko says that if there isn’t anything more to say, then he should leave. He begins to walk away but Saki grabs his hand from behind, telling him to wait. Haruhiko is ready for the confession, but she can’t overcome her shyness and instead requests him to come to the same place tomorrow.

Hearing this, Haruhiko gives up and thinks that maybe he should just confess instead. He agrees to meet her again tomorrow, upon hearing which, her eyes gain a sparkle as she thanks him. She’s thrilled and speaks to herself, “Tomorrow I’ll...... properly confess my feelings to you!” as she runs away, leaving Haruhiko stunned.

This is just the beginning, as the next chapter showcases a new set of characters also entangled in their own love dilemma.
