What Is ‘The Honor Student At Magic High School (Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei)’?

It’s an official spin-off series of a Japanese light novel, ‘The Irregular at Magic High School / Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei,’ which, has exceeded 20 million copies in total, including all the series. The original is a spin-off manga, which has released since 2013, and its 2nd Season is now being serialized. As for its comics, 11 volumes have been released.
‘The Irregular at Magic High School / Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei’ is quite famous, huh? It’s one of the very popular series, which has been made into both an anime and a movie series.
If the original is a serious storyline, the spin-off version tends to be a gag-taste storyline but…… how about ‘The Honor Student At Magic High School (Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei)’? Well, let’s take a look at it now!

Outline of ‘The Honor Student At Magic High School (Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei)’!

“The Irregular at Magic High School / Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei” is a story, depicting from a viewpoint of a younger sister, Miyuki, who is the top student.

First of all, “The Irregular at Magic High School / Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei,” is a story, depicting the world, where magic was scientifically brought to light.
The story is set in 2095. Magic in this world was called “superpowers,” where unscientific innate ability was systematized. However, the ability to use them is determined by generics, limiting the number of magicians in existence.
So…… The power which used to be called ‘superpowers’ was systematized so anybody can use them? That’s the ‘magic’ in this world?
Yep, you’re almost right! The author even commented that it’s the ‘superpowers’-genre story, not the ‘magic’-genre one!
The world where anybody can use the superpowers…… It’s incredible, huh?
Yep! But again, the number of people who can use magic freely is very limited, because the ability to use them is determined by generics. I mean, it’s super limited.
The story focuses on a school, where they train students to become magicians so they can use such power freely!

The main protagonists of the story are the siblings, an older brother who is a bad student and a younger sister who is a good student!
It’s about their three-year high school life!

The main protagonists are an older brother, Shiba Tatsuya, who recorded an unprecedented high score on the entrance exam, while having magically “inept,” and his younger sister, Shiba Miyuki. Both of them are the main protagonists of the main story of “The Irregular at Magic High School / Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei.”
Unlike Tatsuya, his younger sister, Miyuki, is in the same grade as Tatsuya, achieving excellent scores on both magic and written tests.
In ‘The Irregular at Magic High School / Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei,’ it was depicted from a viewpoint of an older brother, Tatsuya, right?
Yep! And this spin-off series ‘The Honor Student At Magic High School (Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei)’ will be depicted from a view point of his younger sister, Miyuki!
It’s not the ‘as if~’ spin-off story but it’s the one depicting the main story from a view of someone else!
So! Those who have watched ‘The Irregular at Magic High School / Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei’ will be able to enjoy this series even more!
