It’s a comedy manga series about middle-aged cop Kankichi Ryotsu, who works at the police station in front of Kameari Park in Katsushika Ward. It takes place in the present day, in and around a neighborhood police station. It’s been serialized on a weekly basis in Shonen Jump. Each episode stands alone so it’s easy to read. It was continuously serialized for 40 years, full of Japanese current affairs and satires, and even listed in Guinness World Records.

It’s a futuristic SF detective story, PSYCHO-PASS. Its television series was aired until Season 3 and this is the comicalized version of Season 1. The story is set in 2112, Japan, taking place in an authoritarian future dystopia where omnipresent public sensors continuously scan the mental states of every passing citizen. The police are able to judge those who are potentially criminals as the “potential criminals”. Inspector Akane Tsunemori will see various “potential criminals” in the site as a rookie detective.

The genre is mystery. It’s already made into drama. Many people in Japan know the titles but might not know the content.

It’s one of the famous titles, with the opposite elements such as the high school girls, the detectives and the delinquent girls in Showa era.

A high school girl who was injured psychologically, Asamiya Saki, is offered by the police to become an undercover detective to escape prison. She initially refuses, so the police blackmail her by offering to pardon her mother, who is on death row for killing her husband, eventually forcing her to accept. As a leader at school and a detective, she fights against the criminals who threaten peace at school.

The orphans, Ryuuzaki Ikuo and Danno Tatsuya, have lost their loved ones, Kashiwaba Yuiko, killed by someone, when they were little. They were going to report it since they witnessed the murderer running away from the site. However, since they were still elementary school students and the police threatened them, the incident became wrapped in mystery. 15 years later, Ikuo became the police officer and started revenging the police who hid the truth beck then. Tatsuya, on the other hand, became a member of mafia to seek for the murderer of the incident. Now the revenge begins by the “legal guard” and the “resident of the dark”……!
