【Summer Anime】 One More Chance—with Memory Intact. A Classic Isekai Fantasy Where Everything Is Lost, and Only Memory Remains for the Ultimate “Retry”—Tsuyokute New Saga!

A never-ending war between humans and demons has raged for years. At its climax, the magic swordsman Kyle defeats the Demon King—the supreme ruler of the demons—while bearing the deaths of his comrades. But the cost of that victory is far too great: he suffers mortal wounds, and the world is left in ruins. Then, upon touching a mysterious red gem guarded by the Demon King, Kyle is transported back in time—to four years before the demon invasion begins. There, he finds the peaceful days he once lost, along with his mother, close friends, and a world yet untouched by destruction. Determined to never repeat the same tragedy, Kyle resolves to fight and reshape history using his “strength” and “knowledge of the future” as his weapons.
After returning to the past, Kyle is no longer a hero who simply overpowers enemies with brute force. He reflects on the tragedies he experienced in the future and carefully strategizes to prevent every possible disaster. He digs underground tunnels to safely bypass dangerous dungeons and secretly protects a princess who was destined to die, watching over her from the shadows. Like playing a “second playthrough” of a game, he prepares countermeasures for every incident and protects his comrades at all costs. By the end of Volume 1, the story dives into the mystery behind an attack on the princess, building strong anticipation for the next installment.
While this work belongs to the “overpowered protagonist” genre, Kyle never comes off as arrogant—instead, his motivations are deeply relatable. His strength doesn’t come from raw talent or cheat abilities, but from the pain of everything he lost in the future and the effort and experience he’s built over time. Though the story is a fantasy at its core, it skillfully incorporates the sense of adventure and strategy found in RPGs. Unlike many other isekai stories, it doesn’t rely on “status screens” or “system messages” that can break immersion. As a result, it’s an enjoyable read even for those who want to simply immerse themselves in a pure fantasy world.
Tsuyokute New Saga is more than just a “change the past” story—it’s a tale about a man who gets a second chance at life, and the resolve and inner struggles that come with it. Because he knows the past, he can fight in ways no one else can. Because he seeks to change the future, he must carry burdens no one else does. All of this is presented with a tightly crafted plot and just the right amount of tension, pulling readers in and keeping the pages turning. The story has only just begun, but already it’s impossible not to be eager to see what future Kyle’s second journey will shape.
