Hello, everybody! We’ve shared most of the Winter 2021 Anime with you so today, we’ll be featuring one of the Spring 2021 Anime, though it’s a little bit earlier!

So! Spring 2021 Anime are coming out in April! This season will be full of great shows so I’ll share as many series as possible too! It’s Saori from Manga Republic!!
So today! It’s going to be the first article where we share Spring 2021 Anime and…… actually, there’s one staff here at Manga Republic, who is such a huge fan of the series, which we’ll be featuring today! It’s one of the now-hot love comedies, where a character is controlled by his/her ‘positive friend, who is junior to the character’!

What Is Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san?

It’s a Japanese manga series, written and illustrated by a manga artist and illustrator, Nanashi-Sensei.
This series used to be serialized in a Japanese web illustration posting site “Pixiv” and it was transferred to a web-version Shonen Magazine, “Magazine Pocket” and it officially started to be serialized.
In “Pixiv,” it’s been serialized from 2011 to 2015 and transferred to “Magazine Pocket” since 2017. Nine volumes of comics have currently been released and 1.3 million copies, including the web version, have been issued as of November 2020. An anime series is scheduled to premiere in April 2021.

Yep! Alright! Let’s take a look at what kind of story it is!

Outline of Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san!

The story starts off at the library.
An introverted boy comes to the library to study after school. There, he sees a loud and flashy-looking girl, which is not clearly the type he is good at.
What’s worse, he accidentally drops his bag and everything is now all over the floor in front of the girls.
From the stuff he drops, the girls see a manga illustrations that he has drawn. The girls laugh at them and leave there.
……except one girl.
The girl asks him what grade he is in.
The boy is in the 2nd year. And the girl is in the 1st year.
“Then, you are Senpai (for me), huh?”
The girl looks so fun, smiling weirdly at the same time.
The girl now reads the manga that he has illustrated aloud and says to him:
“Poor you and the characters in manga as well……”
He’s been told whatever she wants to say to him and Senpai doesn’t even know what to do. Then the girl mentions something about one scene from the manga.
In that scene, the main protagonist male tells a brave female swordsman that she is beautiful while combing her hair……
The girl suddenly says that she wants to reenact the scene.
She also says that she will go with her fist since she hasn’t used the sword before.
Now, Senpai is going to comb her hair to reinact……
But, he ends up not being able to do that because he is too shy……
Looking at him being shy, she looks innocently pleased.
She makes fun of him, saying that he looks shy, not being able to play such a cheesy action, which should be actually his ideal!
“You’re creepy.”
“Mmm? Are you crying, Senpai?”
Senpai’s heart is somehow beating, while crying at what she just says.
The girl hands her handkerchief to him, as her apology of making fun of him.
Senpai cannot do anything but just stand there in shock, being made to cry by a girl.
This is how they first meet! A little introverted Senpai and a way too sadistic girl, Nagatoro-San, who is junior to him, ……!
I can just say, ‘wow’……
As for the original manga, nine volumes have been released, so in anime, I think you see Senpai and Nagatoro-San being closer! At first, it gives us a big impact with thier extreme interactions but as the story goes on……!?
