Feedback of Episode 9 of Anime Jujutsu Kaisen, by a Super Addicted Jujutsu Kaisen Otaku!

Let me share my feedback of the latest episode of Anime Jujutsu Kaisen this week too!!

In the latest Episode 9, the new chapter begins, focusing mainly on some new chara!

All right then…… What was the best part about Episode 9??

In the first half of the episode, a first grade sorcerer, Nanami Kento, who also appeared in the end of Episode 8, and the main protagonist, Itadori, played such an active role!

Nanami went to the Sorcerer College with Gojo together and he was junior to Gojo. In Episode 7, Gojo told Itadori about giving Itadori a “heavier mission,” which would improve Itadori. Nanami is the one who leads Itadori for the mission.

Nanami starts to teach Itaodori the fundamental technique about sorcerer’s duty and how to fight as a sorcerer, calmly and quietly. I bet many of you were surprised to see him fighting in a suit!? Actually, he was fighting in a suit in the opening too! Have you noticed it?

He is so cool as always…… Usually, the chara, who wear glasses and use honorifics when they talk, tend to be the intelligent strategist but as for Nanami, he is definitely super athletic! The weapon he uses is even the hatchet…… It’s a little off from manga and anime’s stereotype, huh? Many chara in this series are like that too, which is one of the attractions about Jujutsu Kaisen.

Nanami and Itadori’s fighting style is similar, both performing close combat, which makes us understand why Gojo assigned Nanami to lead Itadori! I love Gojo, always caring about his students……

Speaking of the opening, there was another chara appearing there. This boy is the one who Nanami and Itadori will follow as one of the major witnesses from the incident. He was smiling with itadori, enjoying the flower viewing at the end of the opening!!!

The opening is always awesome like this scene, where they replace the scenes, when new chara start to appear or new element is added to the chara…… This week, there seems to be another replacement in the opening so check that one out too!!

There is a scene, where the boy is being violently punched and kicked at school. It was impressive that they showed more cruelty in the bully’s side, than in the same scene in the original. It’s also directed differently from the same scene in the original, which makes us feel “how cruel humans can be”!

Personally, I was happy that they have added some parts to the anime version since it’s going to be very important when the type of curse spirit, which Mahito has, will be revealed in the end.

Mahito is a Cursed Spirit, born when people hate others with a terrifying mind. Jougo, who appeared in Episode 7, is another Curse Spirit, born when terrified from the mother earth. Hanami is another Curse Spirit, born when terrified from the nature; therefore, Mahito is a Human’s Curse Spirit, which makes him look just like a human, unlike other Curse Spirits such as Jougo or Hanami.

Usually, anime’s original description sometimes causes misunderstanding with the future development. Therefore, they sometimes have to cut out the original’s scenes. However, as for Jujutsu Kaisen, the written description in manga is perfectly described in animation, which is another good part about this series for me.

If we see and feel that anime is created with respect towards the original, especially the fans of the original feel super happy, huh……?

So! It’s what the first half point (Episode 9) of Anime Jujutsu Kaisen was like! Episode 10 is coming up next week! It’s been already two months since Episode 1 aired, huh……? Time flies……!

Aaand! In Manga Republic, we offer some comics with a great deal, commemorating Anime ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’’s broadcasting! In the introduction part of Episode 9, I saw quite a lot of parts were added, so the episode, “Young Fish and Reverse Punishment” (covered from the original’s Episode 3) might have many original scenes……!?
